Book club for students grades 6–8 at Wireless Generation

Wireless Generation, leading provider of innovative education software, data systems, and assessment tools for reading, writing and math (AND one of DUMBO’s largest employers), is developing immersive, interactive educational experiences based on works of literature. These experiences are designed to be student-driven, emphasize group work and collaboration, and allow students to engage in the material beyond just reading or writing about it. As part of this development, they are hosting a book club for students in grades 6-8 and looking for local participants. Know any kids in grades 6-8?
Starting May 17th and running every Thursday from 4-6PM through June 14th, students will read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain and selected works from Edgar Allen Poe, and then engage in student-driven educational experiences based on those works. Each student will be compensated with a $150 Amazon gift card for attending all sessions and reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by June 7. All sessions will be held in the Wireless Generation offices at 55 Washington Street, Suite 900, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Snacks, drinks, and dinner are provided at every session. If interested, please email playtesting@wgen.net with the student’s name and contact information.
