Photoville Hits Brooklyn Bridge Park this Weekend

Photoville 2012 PHOTOGRAPHIC FLOWERS
Check out DUMBO’s newest neighbor(hood), PHOTOVILLE, a pop-up photo village in Brooklyn Bridge Park.  The photo-fun starts this Friday, June 22nd and runs through July 1st.  A feast for all photo lovers- PHOTOVILLE will feature exhibitions, artist talks, hands-on workshops, nighttime projections, a beer garden complete with food trucks and a dog run! PHOTOVILLE is produced by DUMBO’s very own Photo collective United Photo Industries!  In the name of creating a space to celebrate & enjoy photography, PHOTOVILLE will be completely FREE and open to the public.
Added bonus:
  • PHOTOVILLE’s THE FENCE will be up for the entire summer, starting June 22nd and runs for nearly 1 mile from Pier 1 through to the Pier 3 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. United Photo Industries invited photographers of all levels to explore the theme of ‘community’ and THE FENCE was their answer.  Photographs were submitted into 5 categories: Home, Streets, People, Creatures & Play. There will also be a night time projection presentation at PHOTOVILLE on Friday June 29!
