Borough President Marty Markowitz, Brooklyn's #1 fan, gives us his DUMBO musts: Brooklyn Bridge Park for a ride on the newly renovated Jane’s Carousel; Shopping and a walk on Pearl Street (Triangle) with Brooklyn Decker, before heading into the Dumbo Arts Center and Smack Mellon to enjoy their latest shows. I can’t decide whether to get my pizza at Grimaldi’s or Ignazio’s – so why not both; I recently had a great time at the Brooklyn Book festival Opening Night Party for Bookends at powerHouse Arena - and love going back there to see what's new; Walking around under the archway shrugging in Amazement as Brooklyn’s younger generation walks around with a laptop connected to DUMBO’s free WiFi; And of course dessert – fighting the demons that tempt me to pick up my favorite Love Bugs from Jacques Torres Chocolate after a great performance at St. Ann's Warehouse.
