Brooklyn Bridge Park - Pier 6

Pier 6 has something for everyone. Kids and families will love its collection of imaginative playgrounds, featuring everything from an assortment of swing sets and slides to a sprawling sandbox and a whimsical water play area. Three sand volleyball courts provide for parkgoers who like to get active. A variety of lawns, ranging from secluded to expansive, invite visitors to relax and take in the views of New York Harbor. Pier 6 also features a beautifully planted Flower Field designed to delight in all seasons. Fornino offers delicious pizza, salad, sandwiches, and drinks on its rooftop during the warmer months, and restrooms are accessible on its first floor. For canines and their human companions, a dog run delivers a place to play. Additionally, a ferry dock located on the southern edge of Pier 6 provides seasonal service to Governors Island and, beginning in 2017, will be added to the Citywide Ferry service.
