The Brave House

The Brave House supports young immigrant women and gender-expansive youth, ages 16-24, in New York City, with a focus on those who are survivors of gender-based violence. They currently support more than 100 immigrant and asylum-seeking members from 20 different countries. The Brave House provide free legal support, community space, and holistic services, including an in-house English school, housing/healthcare/food assistance and referrals, mentorship, art/yoga/meditation/self-defense/career/college classes and workshops, and much more.
